WEUC COVID-19 Response Letter No. 14

Dear Willowdale Emmanuel United Church members,

With short notice, the WEUC COVID-19 Emergency Response Team is announcing the following changes:

With the omicron variant on the rise, the WEUC COVID-19 Emergency Response Team has made the following decisions regarding the Christmas Music/Carols Service on Sunday, December 19, 2021:

1.    The Christmas Music/Carols performance is cancelled until further notice.

2.    The worship service will be in-person without the choir singing.  Live-streaming of the service will be available as per usual.

3.    There will be no Hymn Sing before the service.

4.    Council will meet early next week to make a decision on in-person attendance for the Christmas Eve service as well as future Sunday services.  

While we welcome in-person worship for those who feel comfortable attending, we are encouraging everyone to stay home and access live-streaming and printed options for Sunday and special services.

The Emergency Response Team feels that our church members’ safety and well-being is most important during this unpredictable time.  God is with us all the time; we can get through this together as one body of Christ.
