WEUC ANNOUNCEMENTS

THANKSGIVING:

Today: Special Fellowship after the service in the Friendship Room. Bibimbop will be served.

OFFERING Thanksgiving Offering envelopes will be available at the back of the church. Please include name and envelope number.

FOOD BANK DRIVE We want to encourage the congregation to help needy families in our community. Baskets are available in the Narthex for non-perishable food items.

WEUC COUNCIL MEETING Tuesday October 14th, 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Members, please pick up your minutes from the back of the church. Please review minutes before council meeting.

SME EDUCATION COMMITTMENT Sunday October 26th between Jungwon Hong, SME Supervisor Rev. Grace Lee and SME Committee.

NEW PART-TIME CARETAKER: We are pleased to announce we have hired a new caretaker, Hangyoon Cho. Please be sure to say hello if you see him.

ADVENT MORNING PRAYER & BREAKFAST FELLOWSHIP: We invite you to join us for a special morning prayer on Sat. November 1st & Sat. December 6th at 7 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Following the morning prayer we will share in a breakfast fellowship.

BIBLE READING PLAN/Monthly Reflection Gatherings:

We invite you to join us for our upcoming Monthly Reflection gatherings, sharing our favorite Bible verses and personal reflections. Dates: Sun. October 26th, Sun. November 29 and Sun. January 11, 2026 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the CE Office (upstairs, Second Floor). Special Note: On January 11, everyone who has completed the reading will receive a gift from the church.

2026 CANADIAN CHURCH CALENDAR: Celebrate United Churches across Canada focusing on the theme of A New Heaven and a New Earth. Featuring colourful photos from communities of faith across the country plus all the special days, church seasons, and lectionary dates. Cost: $12.00 and are available from the church office.

DON VALLEY REFUGEE RESETTLERS (DVRR) FUNDRAISING 2024:

AMARYLLIS BULB ORDERS Cost: $15.00 for amaryllis boxed kit. Colours available are: Red/White, Pink/White, Red, White and Pink. Please send along your order by Oct. 29th to Lina in the church office at 416-225-2309.
