WEUC ANNOUNCEMENTS
WEUC COUNCIL MEETING Tuesday October 14th, 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Members, please pick up your minutes from the
back of the church. Please review minutes before the council meeting.
ADVENT MORNING PRAYER & BREAKFAST FELLOWSHIP: Soon we will enter the season
of Advent, a time of waiting, reflection and hope. We invite you to join us
for a special morning prayer to grow in
faith formation and deepen your spiritual journey with Jesus. Dates: Sat. November 1st & Sat. December 6th at
7 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Following the morning prayer we will share in a
breakfast fellowship, giving us time to connect and encourage one another.
WE HOLY FUN SEASON 6:
Sunday October 5th to December 28th, 2025. For children JK to Grade 7. Activities: Arts & crafts, sports/games,
ukulele play & performance, and Christmas pageant practice/performance.
Registration Fee: $20 (snack and supplies are included).
BIBLE READING PLAN:
As we
enter the final three months of the year, we invite you to join us on a journey
through Paul's letters, the heart of the New Testament's teaching on the
church. From October through December,
we will be reading one chapter a day, walking together through all 13 letters
traditionally attributed to the Apostle Paul - from Romans to Philemon. The reading schedule is available from May
Hong.
Monthly Reflection Gatherings:
We invite you to join us for our upcoming Monthly Reflection gatherings,
sharing our favorite Bible verses and personal reflections. Dates: Sun. October 26th, Sun. November
29 and Sun. January 11, 2026 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the CE Office
(upstairs, Second Floor). Special Note: On January 11,
everyone who has completed the reading will receive a gift from the church.
THANKSGIVING:
SERVICE Sunday October 12th, 10:30
a.m. Special Fellowship after the
service in the Friendship Room. Bibimbop
will be served.
OFFERING A reminder for those on PAR
that the Thanksgiving offering is not included in your PAR. Thanksgiving Offering envelopes will be
available at the back of the church.
Please include name and envelope number.
FOOD BANK DRIVE We want to encourage the congregation to help fill the
hampers of needy families in our community.
Baskets are available in the Narthex for non-perishable food items.
COMMUNITY GARDEN MEET & CHAT meet every Mondays,
12 noon in the Friendship Room. No gathering on Thanksgiving, Monday October
13th.
