WEUC MINISTRY AND MISSION RETREAT/ADULT EDUCATION Sunday October 29th, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the
Friendship Room. Lunch after the service
followed by Spiritual Retreat led by Rev. Thomas Shin, from Grace United Church
in Brampton. This retreat was approved by council in the Spring for the WEUC congregation. Topic: What it Means to be A Church in Spirit. All welcome.
Bio on
Rev. Thomas Shin:
Rev. Shin has served as a United
Church minister since 2017. He received a PhD degree at McMaster University for
the interdisciplinary study of "human flourishing" in Christian
Spirituality and Psychology. He has been
actively involved in the Institute of Spiritual Formation and a core member
training Christian leaders since 2016.
He has published several books and articles such as Spirituality of A Prayerful Life, Wesley and Social Spirituality, A
Pastoral Contour of Christian Spirituality and Human Well Being and Deep
Discipleship. He lives in Burlington
with his wife Sophia Han and three children.

24th, every Sunday morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 3 hour fun adventure
every Sunday in a safe church environment! Drop-off at 10 a.m./pick up at
1 p.m. Arts and Crafts/Sports and Games/bible storytelling and snacks.
