WEUC ANNOUNCEMENTS

GATHERING HYMNS A reminder that Helen Kim Pratt will lead the Gathering Hymns at 10:15 a.m. on Sundays. Please arrive promptly to enjoy the hymn singing.

WEUC COUNCIL MEETING Tuesday June 14th, 10 a.m. via Zoom. Members in attendance at today's service may pick up their minutes at the back of the church. Agenda and Zoom link will be emailed to members prior to the meeting.

UPDATE ON UCC KOREA PEACE APPEAL - SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN Thank you to everyone who supported the campaign! We submitted over 80 signatures on behalf of WEUC.

WEUC SEARCH TEAM UPDATE: The search team met on May 31st and will proceed with the hiring of the two positions - Organist/Pianist and Program Co-ordinator for Young Families (formerly Youth Leader). We will update the progress in upcoming bulletins.

COMMUNITY GARDEN MEET & CHAT every Tuesdays, 1:30 p.m. Anyone who is able and willing is invited to come and sit under the tree in the garden. Come meet our plot renters and enjoy some fellowship time together.

STAFF VACATIONS:

Rev. YoonOk Shin will be on vacation from June 7 to 27. Rev. Shin's remaining vacation will be taken in July. The guest pulpit supply for Sunday June 12 ,19 & 26 will be Rev. Kay Cho. Rev. Cho will also be available for pastoral emergencies.

Please call Lina in the church office and she will put you in contact with Rev. Cho.

Lina Posa, church administrator, will be on vacation from June 7 to 13. The office will be closed during this time however messages and emails will be checked on a daily basis.

AL HAWS MEMORIAL SERVICE Sat. June 18th at 11 a.m. at Willowdale Emmanuel United Church. WEUC friends are welcome to join the family for this memorial service to honour and celebrate the life of Al Haws who passed away June 21, 2021. Reception to follow at the home of Audrey Haws, 227 Betty Ann Dr.

THE FAMILY OF LESLIE PHILLIPS, who passed away on February 10, 2022, are planning a memorial service at WEUC sometime in July. The date and time of the service will be announced in upcoming bulletins.
