now in the season of Advent. This season marks the beginning of the church
year. It also marks a four week journey of waiting. It begins on the fourth
Sunday before Christmas Day, which is sometimes the last Sunday in November,
and ends on Christmas Eve at sundown.
Advent in Latin means “coming”, which is a time of waiting for that
which is coming - the light of the world to enter the earth.
Advent, we are anticipating the arrival of the baby Jesus. The practice of
waiting, can be a lost art within this fast paced world, however waiting can be
both sacred and a spiritual practice.
